22. Where does their first kiss happen?
In canon they kissed when Querl caught up with him during the Darkseid arc, but that was not their first kiss.
Their first shared kiss was after Sharn Nux almost killed Querl.
Before then, they had been flirting, old minor hostilities had been long since buried, and something better was growing between them and both were open to some... exploration. It was slow and cautious, a mutual experiment as they dated in their own way quietly. Both valued their privacy afterall and they both would rather not be at the center of any gossip, thank you very much!
But there was no kissing. Nothing that intimate. Hand holding, shoulder rubs, a friendly hug or a drape of an arm across shoulders when nights in the lab went on for longer than they both thought was their physical affection and that alone made Querl feel like he was drowning.
Then Querl was nearly assassinated by another Coluan and right when they got him stable and before he went in the damn tank Lyle went and fucking kissed him.
It was hardly fair. Particularly when Querl blacked out afterwards.
When Querl came out of the tank he insisted on a do-over.
23. Where is their favourite place to be together?
One of the shuttles actually. While both are brilliant and thrive in a lab, when they are in a shuttle, alone, a lot of things start to make sense to them because there's not much to do in a shuttle except talk. The thing is, neither would probably say the shuttle, each would probably say something else entirely.
Querl recognizes when Lyle is gone that it was the shuttle all along.
27. Why do their friends get annoyed with them?
They complete each other's sentences and use words that are beyond their vocabulary on a routine basis. Lyle typically tones it down, but when they are talking about ✨THE PLAN ✨then the text book speak comes out and most of everyone else's eyes just glaze over.
They also disobey orders and deviate from pre-established plans on the regular and only convey their new plans to each other until it's too late.
Whoever the leader is at the moment forgives them ultimately because damnitall the new plan worked but FUCK they should have said something earlier.
