I'm home alone and surprisingly really lonely, which is weird for me, but it's okay.

So, things have been going alright.

Countless bad things have happened, but the only one I’m willing to disclose on tumblr is that I got a fucking speeding ticket for going 31 in a 30. Iowa city cops are so fucked. Anyway, I’m going to my court date to fight it.

Basically I just really wish it were Christmas haha. I’m so excited for it this year and I can’t figure out why. Maybe cos last year was so good. My roommate and I are planning an elaborate Christmas party!

anyway, i've just found out that i'm going to orlando this summer with my boyfriend and his family (!!!). i'm so excited i nearly cried when he told me we were going to disneyworld and the wizarding world of harry potter. i keep having dreams they've uninvited me, ha

i'm not going to the rumble anymore. i got assigned a big story and am generally just broke + busy. i'm sad but there's always next year, and anyway, a lot of the bands i want to see will tour this summer. ALSO, i have a saturday ticket to the rumble for sale if anybody's interested. $25 hmu

i'm headed to ames this week-end for veishea! i went last year and it was pretty fun - this year a lot more of my friends will be going and i'm so excited to carpool up, eat some jeff's pizza, and party party !

i went shopping yesterday. officially obsessed with victoria's secret lotions 'beach weekend' & 'surf party,' i never ever change my perfume (i've been wearing the same thing since like, middle school) but i got a body mist of 'beach party' because it smells amazing. i also got a david bowie shirt for $5 at target and a lovely beetjuice-esque dress (f'21 f'ever).

my roommate won a stupid hbo contest and now shittons of game of thrones crap is being sent to our apartment daily.

Things are moving pretty fast for me, so I'm going to do a quick little write-up of my life as I have done in the past.

I've been applying for loads of summer internships, mostly in the Laguna Beach/Los Angeles area but a few in New York City and Chicago. I'm really banking on California, but I don't want to get my hopes up too high because I know how competitive these things are. So far I've applied to 14 or so. The ones I am most excited about the prospect of are Fear Overload Haunted Houses (in Northern California) and Patch LLC (Laguna). Spending the summer in California is really, really ideal for me.

I'm headed to San Antonio in two weeks for a much-needed vacation with my family & my amazing boyfriend! I haven't been since I was quite young, and I rarely travel anywhere due to money so the prospect of travelling to California and Texas within months of eachother is extremely exciting!! I'm excited to go to Corpus Christie as well, I love the ocean, and I've only gotten to see it twice in my life so far. Plus there will be wonderful shopping, recknexxx galore, & the Riverwalk which I adore!

I have also booked a tattoo appointment with a new artist, I'm pretty excited about that - I am going to try and meet with him tomorrow to look at what he's drawn up and make any tweaks before I go in for the appointment.
