Lycion values the same kind of bluntness that Laios needs & values as well, they’re quite compatible both on a communicational level and personality wise. Lycion is sorta dopey and passive, though gentle and kinda friendly. Laios would EAT THAT UP as a companion and I feel like they’d stick to each other a lot. His uwu airheady attitude out of battle would really fit Laios imo, AND his perceptiveness when it comes to others + motives would really complement him well. Lycion is also very mature and grounded? Like, he’s pretty realistic and everything, I can really see him indulging Laios in his interests and sometimes idealistic attitude and them having fun over it, but ultimately Lycion would be a positively logical influence as well. He’s the diplomatic mind that Kabru is but without the mind games. I can simply see them liking each other. 

Lycion seems to like monsters as well so I think he’d be interested in parts of his infodump. He’s a WOLF MAN I don’t think Laios needs more convincing tbh. “Mr werewolf pls bite me so I can become like u n be part of ur pack…”

Ok so I actually made an in depth analysis of that last point and how it’s more complicated than that, BUT I do think that as a beastkin and stuff it’d be easier for Laios to reconcile his trauma about humans with liking Lycion. They’d just be so considerate and chilling hanging out having fun together…

Wait shit guys is Lycion lowkey what Laios wishes he could be- Everything he isn’t that ties in with his central trauma and goal- a beastkin who has social skills- WAIT IS THEIR POTENTIAL DYNAMIC DEEPER THAN I THOUGHT WAIT—

Ultimate dogboy wannabe x disillusioned wolf man (though he also totally thinks turning into a monster rocks), that is all

^ Oh the woe of not having people who understand you… Also Laios saved him in canon so that gives them some reason to seek each other out at first maybe. So many ways that can go though… Them talking at the feast pleaseeee + Laios healing him & having a convo where Lycion explains to him a complex topic in a way he understands~ They communicate well together, Lycion reads him well even.
