         the bet continued to echo through his mind as elijah aimlessly wandered through the school hallways. the bet was simple enough and it wasn't as if elijah was inexperienced with girls either so it wasn't like he didn't have a chance, right? all he needed was a simple kiss from the new girl and glory was his for the taking. no commitment necessary and the bet doesn't even need to be announced. a messy outcome could easily be avoided and it wasn't as if elijah was looking to actually fall for the girl. a kiss was it; as simple and easy as that. and as if right on cue, his mocha hues fixated on the new girl. without a decent amount of time to consider a plan of attack, elijah decided that winging the situation was what he did best. besides, getting in an introduction before his best mate was crucial to winning the bet. allowing his feet to the lead the way, elijah turned to head in the other direction slightly before purposely colliding with her, watching as her books fell flat on the group. "oh shit, i'm so sorry. here, let me help you with that ----" he offered and before she had the chance to protest, elijah was kneeling down on the group and collecting the textbooks for her.
