She frowned at him. Why, oh why, was he lecturing her? Wasnât that what Health class was for? Not that she would know. She tended to not pay attention to much of anything, let alone school. Her arms folded across her chest as she contemplated his statement. It was no surprise she was known for being out of control. He had known her long enough and well enough to know her history. Recently, she stayed sober. At least nine out of ten times, she was. Usually. It was rare for her to drink herself into oblivion. Truth was, she couldnât afford to. As for drugs? They never appealed to her. Too risky. And sex? She would only make love, not sex. She loved no one like that. She hadnât in over a year. She was celibate, or something like that, for the moment. âJiho-oppa, Iâm fiiiine!â she exclaimed, haughtily.
He squinted, meeting her gaze. âSeeing as I havenât seen you in a while, Iâm simply giving the âtalk!â Okay...trying to. Again. It didnât stick the first time but one day it will!â He scrunched his nose, realizing how he sounded like a big brother.. or worse, a nagging mom. But Jiho had given up trying not to sound like a dork. After all, Suzy knew him well enough for that.Â
âIf nothing else, consider this me practicing some parenting skills. Giving the cautionary tales of DUIâs, addiction, and plenty of STDâs. Safety first and all that jazz, princess,â he told her, giving a firm nod. âIâll be like the Jiminy Cricket of all bad decisions. Just..a couple hundred centimeters taller..â
