GOOD, it literally came to me one night at like 4am and I cried about it so hard that when my mom came by the kitchen at 6am and saw me, she thought I saw stressed about real things like debt and taxes. Bc I definitely don’t think the escape from JEIGRR was seamless. I think Maribel probably sacrificed herself to give Luz and Olivia enough time to get away, though Luz was too young to understand what happened. Like, I think she could understand body language and the situation enough to see that Mirabel was not coming with them, but didn’t know the implications until much later on. anyway 🤡

glad you liked the Earth-928 transition thing! It was THE hardest part to parse out in a way that made sense for both Luz’s story and Miguel’s character.
