random lux thought cause i miss my theysband and it got me to thinking:
lux used to be a gymnast. OKAY HEAR ME OUT NOW. they used to be one of those flamboyant ass little kids in like every gymnastic class ever. and they were good at it too. like i’m talking their parents poured so much money into their competitions cause they knew their kid could make something from it. that was until lux got too cocky during a competition and fucking WIPED OUT. LIKE I MEAN WIPED OUT. they were trying to do a round off when they missed the balance beam and fell to the floor, tearing their right acl in the process. (this is like when they were 14ish btw) obviously, they got the surgery to fix it but when they went back to the studio after it healed, it just hurt too far too much for them to even want to participate in anything. lux had a mini identity crisis after that cause their thing was gymnastics for so long. but while recovering, that’s when they started to make content and realized: “hey, i kinda fw this. maybe not as much as gymnastics, but it’ll do.” and that’s basically how lux started getting chronic pain and became an influncer.

✴︎ it happened when they were like 7ish
✴︎ they came back from hanging out at a friends house where they spent like 70% of the hang out putting random shit into an easy bake oven
✴︎ lux’s parents were just standing there like “your father and i are getting a divorce”

i don’t think lux has “trauma” (at least, not to the extent that a regular person would consider trauma) per say, but definitely they definitely had some less than savory stuff happen to them, specifically in childhood. i definitely see them as a child of divorce which is probably why they act out so much (because that is how they would get their attention as a kid). also probably hung out w the wrong crowd in high school and did some… stuff…. (cough cough, drugs) they’re clean now tho!! minus alcohol. lux LOVES getting white girl wasted. there have also been times where they’ve gotten in depressive episodes over their leg (yes, i say leg because their realized version only wears one brace, though it’s entirely possible that whatever problem they have going on is in both) because it just makes them feel like an inconvenience sometimes. like God forbid they have to sit down every once in a while cause their joints hurt during a flair up
