THE SHOW MUST GO ON. despite an ongoing investigation and many complications along the way, one of the city’s biggest spectacles to signal a new year, THE GRAND MASQUERADE, will continue as scheduled. funded by the carroway family with no expense spared, it’s an event beyond anybody’s imagination. it’s grand, lavish, and given the fact that almost no press is allowed inside, the exclusivity is what truly seals the deal for everyone.

marilyn’s gossip app has been a thorn in everyone’s side for the last few weeks, there’s a sense a relief that even the staff of the magazine that have been given clearance to attend must turn in all cell phones and technological devices. with the unruly gossip and investigation tossed aside for the evening, there’s hope of a more relaxed evening   ----   surely there’s no way this night can be soiled . . .  right?

the champagne is flowing, the music is booming, the gowns are grand, and everyone is willing to be swept away for a night. however, there’s no such thing as a peaceful event around the city these days, so it’s only a matter of time before secrets are exposed and bombs are dropped . . . figuratively speaking, that is.
