I don't know where to even start. I haven't slept much, its 1:30 am in Brighton and this was the best convention I've ever attended. And not just because I'm obsessed.
When the show was canceled, I reactivated my Twitter account. I made Devil Birds for #SaveLucifer, joined some groups and had already been writing fanfic like a crazy person. (Thanks, Danielle Stilloe, even though you wanted more Supernatural)
Even before Netflix picked up the show, they were in talks for a convention, so the announcement after it was saved was coincidence, but a good one. Every guest there made me and everyone else feel loved and important. I got to sit and talk to the showrunners and almost the entire cast and I never once felt like I was being rushed on the next autograph desk.
I got to meet in-person several other of my favorite fanfic authors and get to meet my beta on Tuesday, Rika Reh. In particular GlitterSkullFairy, NotOneLine, who put together an amazing gift poster that we all signed with our Twitter handles and gifted to the show. Heather Hauenstein who made me a mod on several Lucifer groups she runs.
I've never been happier to watch actual opening and closing ceremonies but I may be slightly brain-friend by TOM ELLIS wearing MY TSHIRT. I also may have left a note with the shirt with my fan fic author name (cough)
I got to meet a ton of people I've only talked to online and still missed several. I'm going to do an entire separate post on fanmeets, because OMG. I spent 20 minutes each with the two showrunners(1 table), DB Woodwside, Lesley-Ann(Maze), Lauren German (who got in a candy-throwing heckle war with Kevin's table on Sunday) and Kevin the previous day.
And yes, I totally bought Kevin/Dan a beer. I think some of them know me now XD. He recognized me after a costume change, and I was the only person there that I saw with light up rainbow flashing horns. Didn't show up in photo ops, but dammit, Tom put on my horns for the cast photo.
