So I met several cool people at Starfury who either cosplayed Syril or Dedra and now I'm just on here trying to find them - π·οΈ
it is ridiculous to me that there is sizable demographic -- disabled people -- that functionally cannot attend certain doctor who conventions, not because the staff cant accommodate them, but because the staff explicitly does not want to accommodate them. and even when a member of the main cast of the show speaks out on this, it doesnt make enough noise to become an outrage
image descriptions in alt text. the twitter thread has 37 thousand views and the instagram post its screenshotting has 488 likes. that is not an awful lot for a franchise as big as this one -- especially one that claims to be so inclusive. im sure if youre reading this post you havent heard about this until now!
