Okay so I doubt it was intentional, and it'll probably never be elaborated on or mentioned again (unless the filmmakers REALLY decide to feed us in Part 2), but the first time I saw that new extended Wizomania sequence where we get our Mothers explaining the new Grimmerie lore to us, I immediately headcanoned the two unnamed ancient Wise Ones™ as St. Ælphaba and St. Glinda, of Ozian theological lore — or hell, maybe even Kumbricia and Lurline, if we want to get even spicier with it.
