Kay’s at home when she gets the message, and she barely dignifies Link and Shadow with a ‘bye’ before she’s racing out the door. None of her spells help her move faster, so she shoots off a quick text as she runs back toward the city.

She doesn’t stop to wait for a response, figuring she has to at least see Lup in person. Lup’s door isn’t closed, but Kay still hesitates in the doorway, poking her head into the room.

It’s been a few hours since her argument with Taako-- and her subsequent conversation with Kay. Lucretia hadn’t expected to be a houseguest in this very strange treehouse, but this city always has a way of surprising her.

She knows Taako told her to stay away from Lup, but she promised Barry she wouldn’t isolate herself anymore. Taako or not, she has to at least try to communicate.
