The eclipse began at 7:59 PM and peaked at 8:51 PM, when only a narrow crescent remained of the Sun. In Moscow, the phenomenon was visible for only a few minutes: around 8:03 PM, the Moon began to cover the edge of the Sun, and by 8:13 PM, it had already disappeared behind the horizon. The total solar eclipse on August 12th will pass through the Arctic, Greenland, Iceland, and Spain. The total phase will only be visible in a remote area of Taimyr; other regions will see a partial phase.

Apparently we'll get a lunar eclipse this month as well! August 28th!! :D
So today there is a total lunar eclipse in europe and my fathers don't belive that you can go blind, wish myself luck :)
