Book of the day! Today’s book is “Lumber Jills” by Alexandra Davis and illustrated by Katie Hickey. The story of one of the unsung heroines of WW2, the lumber Jills took the place of men in the forest industry so lumber could be used for the war effort. Such a cute book!

Second hat for college millinery class is done! This took me for what felt like forever for drafting, plaid matching, getting the interfacing to cooperate, but it fits really well, and I'm really happy with it! The ear flaps do fold down to cover the ears if it's really cold
