Alice stifled a giggle as she held the clear plastic bag in front of her and whispered, “Are you sure this is a good idea Lukka? What if he actually gets hurt in the morning?”

Days. 

They had survived for days. 

They managed to live for the past 6 days. 

Klaus had come with the others. Feliciano was surprised to see that Firmino brought a bag of snacks. They had a base. With Lukkas and Alice, they had managed to make a space where It couldn’t enter. At least, he hoped. Feliciano wanted them to be safe. He needed them too. He hadn’t been sleeping well. They keep making him stay inside the safe room. He can’t stand it anymore. He needed to get out, see where things were. He needed to know how everything was moving along. 

How far were the others? 

Did they find the hidden door yet? 

Did they find the keys to the rooms on the second floor? 

Did they find the piano? 

He needed to know. 

He needed to prepare himself. 

Everyone was back. 

He blinked. 

He hadn’t noticed. 

What else hadn’t he been noticing? 

Everyone was safe. 

Again. 

Why did it make him feel less happy? 

Why did he hate them being alive? 

Had it always been this way? 

Maybe. 

Maybe it has. Maybe that’s why he can never stop the deaths, maybe he doesn’t want to.

“Odd...I thought I did everything right, but it was no use after all.”

“But no, nevermind, I’m sure this is the right thing to do. I’m not making a mistake, right? Right.” 

“Feli, you’re alright!”

Feliciano nodded as he looked up at Alice. He watched as Gilbert gently sat her down. Her arm looked off. He watched as she used her left hand to move her right arm to her lap. She gently moved her glove slightly before fixing it back. Maybe something had gone wrong.

“Are you alright bella?”

Alice nodded as she said, “Ja Feli, I’m fine. Just a bit scared. Did anyone see what that was?”

Feliciano stared for a moment before shaking his head going, “It didn’t look like anything,”

Lukkas drew on the door as he murmured, “I can make a barrier around this room, but we need to find a way out of here, and we need to make sure the others do not come in this manor.”

Matthias sighed as he sat on the floor and said, “Klaus will come, because Gil is here. Firmino is going to come for Feliciano. Ivan might not show up. Antonio will come when Firmino does. Unless we can get a note outside.”

Lukkas’s blue eyes widened as he pulled out a notebook and said, “We just need to find a window. Gilbert and I will search for a window near the entrance. Maybe you and Alice can look around a bit, see if there is a back door or something. Feli, you should probably stay here.”

Feliciano watched them go, he watched them walk away. 

He shouldn’t have let them all go. 

He needed them to survive this time. 

He should be with them. 

He could help them. 

“Feliciano! Now is not the time to be passing out! I may be able to carry you, but it would be easier if you were running too!”

He was being carried. Matthias was carrying him. He didn’t sound sad. No one yelled her name.

“Feliciano, we could really use the extra hands right now!”

Lukkas. He sounded fine, too. 

Why didn’t anyone sound sad?

“Gil, is he alright? I-I thought I moved him in time.”

She was alive! Feliciano opened his eyes to see It chasing them, Gilbert carried Alice over his shoulder to keep in time with Lukkas as Matthias ran ahead with him over his shoulder. 

He blinked.

“Ja Frau, he’ll be fine. He probably had a heartattack of a scare. Give him a minute. Matthias, I’m not sure how long these two can ward it off while we run. If you see any place with a locking door let’s go for it!”
