Moving Along : What’s something that’s been consuming your mind lately?
My favourite lyrics from the youngblood album. They’re so beautifully written and some of them pierce my soul and some caress my soul and it makes me realise that all of us have been through something that has changed us, for better or for worse, and it may be different experiences individually but we can all emphatize with the feelings associated with said experience. For example, in Lie To Me, “I know that you don’t but if I ask you if you love me, I hope you lie to me,”. It may be completely different contexts for each different person who can resonate with it but we can feel the same emotion through it and not only does it bring us closer to each other, the band but also ourselves.
Babylon : What historical event would you love to go back and witness, assuming it was impossible for you to get physically hurt?
I would definitely want to go back to one of the world wars, maybe WWII so I can actually learn to appreciate the life of others more. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying I don’t appreciate other’s life. What I mean is, there’s so many incidences around the world that cause people to lose their lives everyday because of pure malice. For me, to go to that particular time and see the horror of it all, will put me in the position where I can constantly remind myself to be kind to others and make them value their life more. I hope the connection is seen here. It’s important to make people feel loved, because there’s just too much hate in this world.
