It wasn’t like Luka and Alex had been texting back and forth all week, but they kept in touch. Especially since Alexandra had been buried with work plus a short trip to Sydney for a friend’s wedding the following week, so she had been making plans for that and there was little time to waste chit chatting over text messages. Or--more like, going through her plans for that week, texting friends from home, her parents and everyone that might be in town for a little reunion. Not to mention, instructing everyone at the agency and going through details here and there. She’d be gone for most of the week, since her plane was leaving next Tuesday and she’d be back on Sunday afternoon-ish. But that was going to happen next week... this week had been one true hell, which is why she had glad that Friday had finally come and she was as free as a bird.

As soon as she stepped out of the building where her agency was located at, the brunette made her way home for a quick shower and then headed to the bar Luka had texted her about. Dive bar, he had said... so she dropped the heels and went with a pair of boots instead, tucking her jeans inside and throwing a black henley shirt and a jacket on top of that. See--she knew how to dress casual, no matter how much her friends from home insisted in saying she didn’t. Her eyes scanned the place, searching for Luka’s presence and she sighed, relieved to have found him by the bar. “Hi...” She greeted him with a smile, waving her hand once before she shrugged off her jacket and she took a seat at the stool next to him, resting her jacket on her lap. “What are you having? Is it strong? I could use something strong.” A bartender stopped by and Alex smiled at him, too. “Hi, I’ll have a shot of Jack and whatever he’s having, thanks. So... what’s up with you?”
