Busted: Your character will catch mine doing something they shouldnât.
â¸Â Shuddering shoulders and tremling lips, Nahyun curled herself within the warmth of her coat, hair disheveled from the strong winds of the night. Everything had gone a little off track from original plans, with Nahyun ending up staying in the party longer than she should have. But then again, it had been a while since sheâs gone out with her sorority sisters and she wasnât going to deny the fact that she had loads of fun. However, there wasnât anything that compared to the strong sound walls of the greek chapter, rushing quietly as to not wake up the girls that had drifted asleep against the couch of the living room.
A step midway from the floor to the stairs and she was suddenly halted by a small knock against the door, her body going frozen from the sudden scare. A shiver ran down her spine at the small possibility of a break in, eyes narrowing as she turned to face the entrance of the chapter.
It was 3amâ who could it possibly be?Â
Ignoring her instincts, she figured it might be just the rustling wind, shaking worried thoughts off and thinking of herself as a little too paranoid. There had been plenty of times when scenarios had bubbled out of the surface, with Nahyun acting up only to find out there was nothing to worry over in the first place. She didnât want to ruin the atmosphere, especially not when she had a lot of fun with the other girls earlier during the night. Yawning as she shoved the thought of someone sneaking in at the back of her head and pushed the door of her bedroom open, falling face flat against the pillows on her bed.
Make up not removed with hair disheveled, she found herself slowly drifting into sleep when she suddenly heard a rustle just outside her balcony, eyes widening in terror as she pulled herself from fetal position to combat mode. Suddenly, she was alert in all fours and this time, she knew it wasnât any strong wind nor was it just a squirrel passing by. Eyes hover all things she could possibly fight with just in case it really was a burglar trying to break in.
Finally deciding on the softball bat propped against the wall, she took careful steps towards the balcony door, chest heaving in a nervous breakdown. Beating loudly against her thoracic cage, she tightly clutched onto the base of the bat, nimble fingers shaking at the thought of a stranger being outside.
With a deep breath, she kicked the lock of the door open and in a quick flash through the eye, a figure dashed through. Nahyun found herself screaming before a hand covers up her mouth, biting down on the flesh of the hand as an attempt to free herself from their hold. It wasnât until she was free and that she heard the familiar voice did she turn around, with Lucas grunting in pain behind her.
Her facial features dropped, hands swaying in defeat. âWhat are you doing here?!â She asked, fear long gone. âYou scared the shit out of me, I thought there was someone going through the greek house!â
A crooked grin painted through his features as he explained, âDid you forget?! You were supposed to come with me to that art show this morning! I told you Iâd come pick you up at 3 in the morning because it takes 4 hours going there!â The male rubbed the sore spot of his hand as Nahyun fell against the mattress, the memory of Lucas inviting him to a show down at Busan sinking in.
He raised an eyebrow at her and said, â Iâve been trying to call you and when you didnât, I figured your balcony might work.â When he figures it all out that the female indeed forgot all about their plans, he sternly asked, âYou totally forgot didnât you?â
"No!" She answered in defense albeit to it being the truth. "I was justâ distracted!â
