With the cruise season just around the corner for many parts of the world (and underway in quite a few others), there’s no better time to take a look at a few favorite boats.
We love the Fountaine Pajot Lucia 40. It has everything you need to cruise comfortably, both inside and out. The size makes it ideal for traveling with small groups, yet it’s small enough to still enjoy coves and cays that may be more challenging to access with a larger craft. Just a look at her above provokes dreams and visions of all the wonderful cruising to be had.
A second choice is the range from Lagoon. It’s not a surprise that the company has won multiple awards. The boats are gorgeous, inside and out, and are recognized for outstanding performance.

It’s almost a brand new year! That means a new 365 days of enjoying the cruise lifestyle. What are some of the trends we’re expecting for the coming year? Here’s a look:
1. New and exciting destinations - Warm weather and tropical locales are always popular for those who love to cruise. But, where there is water, there’s a chance for cruising. Watch for destinations like Ireland and Iceland to gain interest for travelers in 2017. River cruises are also increasingly gaining attention. It can be fun to explore new places and experience cruising on different waterways.
2. High tech, smart tech - The nautical world is not new to using technology in innovating ways. But there’s a new era of gadgets, apps, and other products that can help with everything from improving your sailing skills and knowledge, to providing critical information and communications while at sail. Be on the look out for internet-connected “smart” devices made with sailing in mind in addition to all kinds of other tech and accessories made for the seas.
3. Eco-friendly products - Most of those who live the cruise lifestyle respect and care for the water and lands they enjoy, but there’s a new era of eco-friendly cruise products that include natural soaps and shampoos, repurposed fabrics, and other sustainable options. For food and diets, more destinations are looking to cater to those with clean eating, organic, locally and responsibly sourced diets and preferences.

At The Annapolis Sailboat Show This Week
The team at Luffing Life is off to the Annapolis Sailboat Show this weekend! The event features new boats from top brands, sailing courses and all kinds of other great stuff for those in attendance. Brazil, Mexico, and Argentina. It’s also a great time of the year to enjoy coastal areas as seasons wind down in Greece and other countries. Grab a map, and start having a look! There are still plenty of places to enjoy a great cruise while we reach the fall months here in the U.S.
