Backyard update 11/11-11/24/2020
So I know it's been a while since I did an update on the backyard section and I'd like to 100% blame it on the heat but honestly a good chunk was because I got lazy and didn't want to work on it as well as conflicting schedules kept everyone from working on it
On the not so nice side this is what happens when one doesn't take care of their garden and it becomes over run with weeds/Bermuda grass:
There was some onions and beans that had sorta managed to make it through the summer as well as two of the trees we where trying to grow.
After some weeding and maintenance this was about 2 & 1/2 hours weeding at this point I think it took me about 3-4ish hours total to finish weeding and then coming back to do the next step almost a week later.
Which is the above pic. We shifted the beds around to make them taller and lost 1 bed in the process but we added 2 upcycled boxes into potato beds.
Beds all seeded and covered to protect them from birds that might attempt to eat the seeds.
The once carrot bed has onions put into it now, these are the ones that managed to survive the summer heat.
Close up of the potato boxes. This will be our first time growing potatoes.
The big box has onions and some asparagus plants that we planted before this summer.
The empty other side haven't planted anything yet.
