"They're talented, but we don't use their help much these days..." Anastasia looked at them once and faced forwards again. "You'll know why soon enough."
They stopped in front of a door, and she signaled someone to open it; they were pushed inside without much care then, the door closing behind.
Don't you disrespect us little one!
Don't you derogate or deride!
And we've got friends on the other side!
The kids swore they heard something, a murmur, maybe; yet they couldn't make out any of the words.
"That's an echo, guys," one of the boys inside the room said, a wild smile placed on his face while the other only watched them. "Just a little something we have here in Whitechapel"
A little parlor trick, dontcha worry!
Ethan Morgan and Benny Weir. They fit Anastasia's descriptions almost perfectly.
"We're here… for your help."
Has the table and chairs always been there?
If you relax it will enable us to do anything we please
"I can read your future," the boy who watched them finally said, a dark, shining sphere of some sort in his hands making his eyes look like they were glowing- or maybe they were just like that.
"I can change it 'round some, too
I'll look deep into your heart and soul"
"You've got a soul, right?" Joked the boy with a striped shirt.
Make your wildest dreams come true!
"I got voodoo, I got hoodoo
I got things I ain't even tried!
And we've got friends on the other side"
The shorter one sat across them, the gleam in his eyes unnerving them more by the second.
"The visions, the visions, the visions will tell
The past, the present, and the future as well!" He let the artifact go then. "The visions, the visions, just take my hands firmly."
Take a little trip into your future with me!
Hesitantly, they did as told. It wasn't like anything they've ever felt before.
He looked at the one of them on his left, eyes almost white.
"Now you, young man, are from across the sea
You come from two old magic families..."
"I am magic myself on my grandma's side," Benny chimed in, watching his hands intensely as he manifested fire with them.
He turned to the one on his right and continued, "And your lifestyle's high
Your parents want you to learn how to make true gold!"
"Mom and dad cut you off, huh?"
"Now you gotta 'grow up', but that's not the life you want
But freedom takes power!"
It's the power, it's the power, it's the power you both need
"And when I looked into your future
It's the power that I see!"
Finally Ethan's eyes glanced at the one in the middle.
"On you little girl, I don't wanna waste much time
You been pushed around all the time
You been pushed around by your
Mother and your sister and your brother
Now that you've got friends
You'd be pushed around by them"
But in your future, the you I see
Is exactly the girl you always wanted to be!
She heard the whisper clearly this time, like it came from just next to her.
Won't you shake the poor loser's hand?"
Before anyone else could, the third one shook his hand.
"Yes," both boys said, grins growing.
The sphere Ethan had left between seemed to flare up then with pure energy, making the three of the flinch away from it. Except he still didn't let go of the girl's hand, he took it and put it right on top of it.
The poor girl couldn't move anymore, feeling like the energy of that thing -the Lucifractor- was trying to consume her.
(Transformation central!)
Transmogrification central!
You're changin', You're changin', You're changin', all right!
You can blame our friends on the other side!
She felt like her veins burned and her soul bled.
As her friends tried to drag her away, she could still faintly hear one last whisper.
But you lost what you had.
