A passage from the Lucifer Effect. This is the kind of reading I CHOOSE to do. First book in years and THIS is what I start with. Well, this, Battle Royale and All you need is kill. Because I technically have started all three of them.

SPOILER ALERT!!! Lucifer was in over his head again. That WAS his Father. Talking through someone else by use of that belt buckle. God may not have been in his own body but he was still present. Lucifer is so disconnected that he fails once again to realize that his dad does care and loves him. They haven't seen each other in years and when dad finally appears Lucifer just cannot accept what his dad is saying to him and that his comments are sincere. Lucifer needs to learn that times change. Feelings change. God forgive his boy a long time ago and really is proud of him of the progress he's made him on Earth. It's of no coincidence that Lucifer name means "Lightbringer" and his daddy wants him to SHINE.
