It was a lot to take in, and Crowe didn’t think she knew the other Glaive well enough to be told such personal information. It left her with some questions, but Crowe did not feel it was yet appropriate for her to ask.
Her own past was rather simple. She shrugged at Medea’s sympathy. The scorn the Galahdians faced in this city was unpleasant, but they were also a proud people and enduring pity was sometimes worse than the suspicion.
“That’s a lot.” Crowe mumbled before taking a drink. She didn’t want to know why Drautos was near a brothel. She certainly didn’t want to think if he had any sort of sex life. The thought was disgusting and she hoped her beer would help her forget about it.
“I didn’t think our Captain did much recruitment.” Crowe mused. He hadn’t been there when she signed up. It was only on the first day of training that they had all found out who would be leading them. “I guess he cares, but he hates to show it, you know? It’s a guy thing.”
There were a lot of unexplainable guy things. When the rest of the unit was men, sometimes Crowe got really tired of their quirks.
Yep, it is a guy thing -muttered- he doesn't speak too much about his past but I have my suspicions -her eyes focused on her drink now- He cares too much and that's why we get our asses kicked on trainings -as she glared at her companion- My brother wanted to join the glaives too, but he had an accident on his job and… well, broke his hip, he recovered but since then he suffers from chronic pain, turning in to a good sour man -smiled softly.
He is really proud and doesn't like to speak about what hurts him more, so I do thing is a guy thing, strange genre they are -laughed- Are Libertus and Nyx like this too or they are a bit more normal than our mentioned especiments? -she meant no offence when speaking like that, she was actually funny when speaking about men and their no easily understandable way of thinking- We can be as stubborn as them, but somehow they seem allergic to sharing emotions or accept them…Â
While they were speaking, Medea grabbed her wallet and pulled some money to pay for the drinks and the food, since she promised Crowe they were going to a better and comfortable place for her to be. A woman stood on the stage and started to sing a really slow and elegant song, very jazz like tune, it wasn't an elegant place, but the owner could be proud in the fact that NO ONE bothered anyone in there, no bad looks for being a glaive, not bad drunkards wanting to touch what isn't theirs, it was a place for everyone.
Her bad humor was already gone and now she looked even more relaxed and funny, thanks to that new friend of hers, that with her presence was healing her loneliness and her fear to have that free time their captain forced her into. She wasnt THAT afraid anymore, perhaps a bit but not that much now.
