So lore for here, in EoD, Aethena becomes a firefighter around the time she and William are doing remnant research (1986 - 1992), The job as a cop wasn’t working out for several reasons being William had a record now due to the ‘85 incident. Aethena was tired of the cop work because it wasn’t exactly what she wanted to do when it came to her desires. William ends up being the person she goes to 85% of the time when it comes to injuries, mostly because of their situation, it’s symbiotic, Aethena helps him collect remnants and she can aid in trying to revive Elizabeth and C.C. (While also, unbeknownst to her at first, helping William figure out immortality so he doesn’t die.)
The thing is, Aethena wouldn’t have really cared about that- She’d kinda empathize with him on it since she’s seen a lot of death, (She was in the military for so many years.)
This is so hard to explain without spoiling story stuff 😂🙏
