Cannot stop thinking about aged up Alberto calling Luca something cheesy like “angelo” for the first time and getting heart palpitations at the sight of the younger boy blushing madly before weakly shoving him away in exasperation.

He later keeps calling him many more just to get a reaction out of his boyfriend. And it never fails, Luca is just so adorably shy! Alberto can’t help his flirty nature now that he discovered a good use for it!

But then one night, after an awful and triggering discussion with Ercole, Luca is trying to comfort him and the words “Oh, tesoro...” just slips out of his lips.

At that moment, any thought about the discussing vanished from Alberto’s mind and his heart felt so full. Heat rushed to his cheeks and he stared at Luca, waiting until realization hit him and he slapped both hands over his gaping mouth as his face turned crimson red. Alberto had giggled then, a shy smile on his lips as he rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly.

He had never been called a pet name before. And Luca made it sound so natural, so meaningful. He wanted to hear it over and over again.

That night, engulfed by the comforting darkness of Alberto’s room, they both cuddled in bed. In the quietness of the late hour, whispers of cheesy endearments were exchanged between the young couple.

Months later, it isn’t unusual at all to find Alberto calling his partner “Amore mio” or “Cuore mio” in public, an infatuated smirk on his lips as his boyfriend sends him a fond look before chastising him with pinky cheeks.

Luca, in turn, takes joy in calling his lover “Tesoro” and “Bello” whenever they’re alone. The flustered and somewhat cocky Alberto that always comes out of it always gives the best kisses, anyways.

In public, he’ll simply call him “Beto” due to his shyness. But secretly he’ll forever melt in Alberto’s arms whenever the older boy call him “Angelo” and “Piccolino” with so much tenderness as they share kisses under the stars~ ♡

I just love the concept of these adorable fish boys getting so intimidated by their in-laws!

Alberto makes sure Luca’s mom knows how hard working he is by casually dropping by the Paguro’s residence to help out with chores and put the new courteous words he learned to use. He needs to show how well he’ll treat Luca, after all! (And although it works wonders, no fake confidence can mask his cold sweat whenever she as much as narrows her eyes at their intertwined tails)

Meanwhile Luca still has nightmares about that one shovel talk Massimo gave him. “I trust you to never hurt my boy or break his heart, Paguro” he had warned with a deep rumble (and promptly making up the boy’s mind about never, ever letting Alberto go home without working things out after a fight lest he risked getting on Massimo’s bad side)

Their little guppies get so frightened that they all end up climbing their bed to sleep between them. Alberto grins smugly as his tiny, dear kids all flock against him for safety, whining for their brave Papa to protect them from the monsters.

Luca only sends a halfhearted glare towards his husband, the sight of his mate holding all of their guppies softening his heart too much. He decides to chastise Alberto about getting the kids to sleep alone tomorrow morning, for now he’ll enjoy embracing their little family to sleep.
