How I feel about this character

Talk about an important character that people gloss over.  He’d figured out the plan to use Amestris for a philosopher’s stone before anyone else. Brilliant guy, loving guy, smart guy. Don’t get me started on Hughes.

All the people I ship romantically with this character

Gracia, first and foremost. That’s so canon it hurts.Non-canon, though: Riza. Hyuza is my pet ship.

My non-romantic OTP for this character

Roy and Hughes, Brotp 5ever. Seriously these two.

My unpopular opinion about this character

Hughes wasn’t the lovey-dovey family guy that everyone thinks he his - that’s one tiny dimension to his personality.  He’s a Lt. Colonel in the INTEL dept for pete’s sake.  This guy was a fighter, cold, ruthless. Look at the flashbacks.  The outer layer, the “GRACIA AND ELICIA OMG” layer… that’s a facade, a mask… it hides who he really is.

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon.

…So, what, I should stop planning a cosplay I want to do anyway? Hush your face. :P I haven’t even started putting it together yet.

ltcoloneldaddy is a very well executed Hughes. The way the mun writes not only the doting daddy and bubbly family man but also gives him a darker, more painful past is a joy to read and an even greater joy for me to play to. I love mun and muse both and am lucky to be able to play with them!
