I'm taking the LSAT soon and I'm really scared, do you have any advice?
Sure! I can’t give you any actual test-taking tips since I’m assuming it’s remote and on the computer instead of packed into a room with about a hundred other people, a couple #2 pencils and some dreams like I was. But I might be able to help out with the nerves (I’m actually a little jealous, I had a hand cramp for two days thanks to the essay part.)
The most important thing to remember is that you’ve practiced and you’re smart and you can do this. Have faith in yourself and try not to overthink it. Sometimes the obvious answer is the right one.
The second and probably harder thing to remember is that you don’t have to be perfect. You just have to be good enough. It’s not really a test it’s possible to ace. Which is hard to accept, especially if you’re used to doing really well. But the good news is that schools aren’t looking for an impossible genius, and your LSAT score is temporary. Once you have those acceptance letters in your hand (or inbox) it’s not going to matter anymore.
Do your best. Pace yourself. And if you don’t get the score you want, you can always keep practicing and try again (also, you’d be surprised how far a moderate score can get you, especially if you’ve got good grades and well-rounded extra-curriculars).
Take a deep breath Nonny.
I believe in you. (Tell me how it goes.)
