“I hate how people don't know what triggered actually means. like I've worked with people who actually get triggered. I know a child if he sees a pigeon he'd start crying and screaming. I know an adult man who can not walk down a certain street with out flash backing and hyperventilating and then he is angry and filled with anxiety the rest of the day if he goes near there. I know a girl who if you say the word red car she'll go ape shit and will even lay down in the street and act dead until she gets the red car. 2/3 of these people are special needs but that's not the point. People think triggered is just getting angry/sad/ disagreeing passionately. No it's something that's debilitating and they can't function the rest of the day because theyll have an episode that hurts them possible for almost a week. Its terrifying for them and those who care about those people. So if you want to use the word fine, just know what you're actually saying.”
