Woke up with the sun. Re-started my tumblr account to use as a blog for this writing process I am about to begin in earnest. I'm so glad to be here - grateful for this time! Grateful for the confidence (or space for confidence) to know that I can do this and deserve to do this with a little effort at a time. Time is on my side. I am going to stay focused on Lake Senachwine until the story is told and the helpers come to its rescue. I am setting a trap for the help the land needs, that the river needs, that my community needs, that I, as a little girl, needed, that Black and brown girls who live in and/or love rural places need, that the Potawatomi deserve to be offered, that the wild rice needs, that the fingernail clams need, that the sturgeon needs, that the dabbling and diving ducks need. We all deserve to come home. It's waiting for us if we work together. I am glad my spirit knew how to make something good out of my suffering, my loneliness. I listened.
