The ganconer, (gancanagh,the night mare (yes written apart), lovetalker) is a midnightman, a demonlover from the celtic legends. Very similar to "The mare" I wrote about earlier The ganconer is a (entity)man living in the darkness, waiting for for the right victims to pass by. The right victims are those more open to imagination and heavier dreams, most likely also with a wish for lust, love. When the ganconer have chosen his lover, he will start appearing in the threshold between moonlight and shadows, whispering sweet caressing words to your mind. Once the lover is in the moonlight we will, with help of the shadow, reach her and be a very gentle, yet rough lover, demanding your carnal lust to give into him. The only way for the ganconer to gain more power is by drying his lover out on lust and love, for every orgasm he gets a nubble of their spirit. With every orgasm he grows from an invisible force that you feel, to a beautiful moonlight-carved man right before your eyes. The ganconer constantly hunts lovers in hope of once day becoming a human thanks to the lover, but unfortunately he always drains his lover dry before successfully turning into human. A rather sad demonstory in other words. In the book "Incubus" by Carol Goodman (Also under name of Fairwick chronicles, or the penname " The Demon lover" by Juliet Dark) a gothic romance novel, we get to meet a heroine who encounters the ganconer. It is in other words a very erotic book but with great folklore about creatures and magic in it. You who like flirting with the supernatural and are sick of vampires and werewolfs, will probably adore this. If you have read any more books that contains folklore (or traces of them in the tale) please let me know! :)
