My intuition told me to give up
In blindly hoping, trusting love.
Getting by with cuts only running deep
Uncertain which and who to keep
Expecting, wanting something new
Let all the hours paint me blue.
Misled, mistaken, quite unsure
Am I better than what I’m searching for?
Not ‘til I thought it was too late
Exactly when I never knew
Led by heartbeat, there was you.
Chances come but may say “no”
On days when summer has to go
Best to test this given will
As asters grew promises to fulfill
Redeeming a long forgotten memory
Returning home, you came to me
Underwhelmed to be blown away
Between more than what you have to say.
In the end there’s me and you
And no one will or can undo
So long as you and I believe this true.
