My understanding of the HOTD Show-verse Hightower-Targaryen dynamics:
Gwayne is married to Ormund and is Lady Hightower. Their son was born via surrogate (Alicent). And since she’s a lesbian the only men she wants to fuck are Fabian Frankel and possibly her gay brother and cousin (understandable) so now she has to really kill him.
Meanwhile Helaena is autistic and since she’s autistic she is incapable of feeling any type of love or anger over her child’s death and instead wants to raise chickens. Because she’s autistic. It makes a lot of sense if you consider that she is in fact neurodivergent and so she is incapable of human thought or feeling. And now she’s pregnant via immaculate conception. And her brother-husband Aegon has run off on a The Graduate style elopement with Larys Strong, the man who used to molest their mother with foot fetish shenanigans when they were kids. And their brother who tried to kill and then psychosexually torture Aegon can’t seem to decide whether he wants to sleep with his mom, his sister, his older brother, the woman who raped him when he was 13, or Larys Strong’s witch adjacent wetnurse. Am I missing anything?
every time i see the pics of lando sticking to carlos like glue before the race in abu dhabi or the video of them hugging each other afterward all i can think is that i really, really hope they stay in each other’s lives forever: whatever that looks like for them.
to have formed and sustained a bond like that — openly supportive, protective, loving, etc. — for so long in an environment that actively punishes vulnerability is… wow. like that’s not them "getting lucky" or sticking together because it’s great for sns engagement, that’s them absolutely refusing to let the other go and genuinely treasuring what they have, especially behind the scenes/in private. there is so much love and respect and understanding between them and some people wait their whole lives to find that and i’m so glad the two of them don’t have to anymore.
