Prior to 2011, much of his work seems to have been fairly standard acoustic fare, not bad, but not too remarkable either. Last year, however, things began to pick up: from compositional work for modern dance and performance art to pieces for prepared piano, it was clear that Weeks' musical palette was expanding and his more personal music has benefited greatly from it. Both the subtly textural 'Clementine', ear-marked for a forthcoming full length, and the glitchy, guitar-based 'Bloodline' are evidence of a musician who has found his "voice", maintaining the same honest intimacy from his previous work but embellished and vastly improved by the attention to detail and lightness of touch of his production and skills of electronic composition. Hopefully Weeks will continue to look forward rather than back in terms of his output, and if so, Baltimore may have a quite exceptional musical talent on their doorstep.
So here is 'Bloodline', we also highly recommend you check out the aforementioned 'Clementine', the track that got our attention, on his bandcamp where much of his previous material is also available to stream.
