Books and TV and movies and video games through my whole life really made me think revenge would be a bigger part of my day to day. I've never been on a quest for vengeance, not even sure when was the last time I had to avenge a friend or family member. I was deeply betrayed by my best friend many years ago, but we talked things out a few years later and now we work together and are still friends. I really think The Last of Us 2 might be the worst game ever made.

Lou2 on AO3 gave to the fountain fundraiser and requested: Avengers, Foodieverse, or Bucky/Clint being idiots, or any Team Cap characters.
Title: It’s Actually Called Gimme A Hand
Rating: G, Gen
Notes: Foodieverse! Bucky doesn’t get enough airtime in the foodieverse but I do love everything about him.
(I am still working on these, but...very slowly. Thanks for your patience all!)
The life of a one-armed bicycle messenger was not an easy one. Not that Bucky had ever wanted easy, or he wouldn’t have been friends with Steve Rogers, but he was aware that his career had a limited life span. It was why he’d started investing in the first place.
“I hate to say it,” he said, on a rare day off, “but capitalism has not done poorly by me.”
“Capitalism has done poorly by us all,” Steve replied, but without heat. They were lying on the beach at Coney Island, slathered in sunscreen, Steve with his eyes closed and a book on his chest.
“In the grand scheme, sure, but another fiscal year like this one and I can retire and manage other peoples’ money for a living, like a Gilded Age robber baron,” Bucky replied, scrolling through his investment account. “I’ve been thinking I should diversify, actually.”
“Oh? I hear there’s a shortage of hired assassins,” Steve replied.
“Hah! Imagine me a sniper,” Bucky said. “I’ve been working on food truck concepts.”
Steve propped himself on an elbow, interested now. “Oh? What’s the schtick?”
“I was thinking meat pies. Food on sticks. Empanadas, maybe steal your homemade pop-tart recipe,” Bucky said. “Stuff you can carry easily.”
“Bucky -- “ Steve began, aware of where this was headed.
“In the tradition of One Armed Bandit Investing -- “
“Bucky -- “
“ -- I could call it ‘The Singlehanded Chef’,” Bucky said, and Steve groaned and whacked him with his beach read.

This is a enemies to lovers Last of Us fic following the events of Last of Us II game - centering on Ellie and Abby's journeys towards healing and redemption.
--
The beach was supposed to be the end of it, but moving on doesn’t always mean letting go. Ellie didn’t know how to live with the pain she’d caused. She found purpose through Vanguard- an organization dedicated to finding a vaccine. Even if it’s the death of her. Abby found her place among the Fireflies of Catalina Island but not everything was as she’d hoped. Their paths cross as a new enemy stirs on the mainland. They’ll need each other to find the light in the darkness.
--
“You can make a cure?” Ellie heard her voice almost like she was under water.
“A vaccine. And no,” Dr. Gurly answered curtly, “But we know how to do it.”
“Are there even any more doctors left to talk to? I’m pretty sure I’ve seen them all.”
“There’s an old colleague of mine,” Gurly said.
“I didn’t think you had any more colleagues,” Ellie said.
"Fewer now."
--
“This guy said there were non-fungal people. The runners acted like they didn’t even see them. It was like they were invisible.”
“That’s not possible,” Abby breathed. Kline was cut off by the loud bellow of an AV operator off behind her.
“REFUGEES INCOMING,” she stood and screamed.
