I just had a migraine that didn't wanna go away with ibuprofen and I'm out of my prescription meds so I broke out my old headache tea recipe and it's already clearing so lemme share with you my secrets:
-> Kettle, stove, microwave I don't judge (water is ✨️hydrating✨️)
🫖 1 bag sleepytime/chamomile tea
-> if you like it stronger, use 2 bags. Chamomile is supposedly good for inflammation.
-> Green tea has antioxidants and caffeine
🍋 A splash or squeeze of lemon juice.
-> Lemon juice is also anti-inflammatory, helps your electrolytes, and has vitamin C (im pretty sure they make a lemon green tea, you can use that instead if you want)
-> (anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial, and antioxidant) I only add a little bit bc i dont like it that much
I think I used to put ginger in it but I don't remember, ginger tea helps stomach aches tho (improves circulation?)
🥄 Then sweeten it how you like
-> I like it sweet with sucralose because all those things together are a strange combo and sugar does NOT help my headaches
♨️ Let it be steamy! Breathe in the steams!
Am I a doctor? NO. Is this backed by science? Dunno! 🤷🏻 Does it seem to work pretty consistently? For me, it does! I've been doing this since high school and I can't remember at all how I came up with it. My family asks me to make this all the time for their headaches so give it a try
