Lotte Reningers work
I am inspired by how these shadow puppets have been created with the use of black and white tones; use of no colours. Effective use of contrast and balance enhances the story line as well as drawing attention to the characters which are silhouette like characters.
I will take the silhouette like characters as well as the background drop into account when creating my final piece, the reason for this is because I see that the shadow puppets enhances the actual storyline, this makes it easier for the reader to understand and visualise what is the concept of the story. which kind of emphasise the cutout shadow puppets.
as an experiment, i will try to incorporate colour into my shadow puppets to see if the final outcome would work or not.
I find the last image more appealing and the reason for this is because the goose has been created in an outline style which has resulted in creating a more subtle yet vivid design.
