It was very hard to stop a dragon once they had their mind set to something. That was a fact the fire nation guards had to learn the hard way.  Devani had merely left them with no one to fight, giving them a good twenty foot run if they wanted to catch her.  Coming into the unfamiliar airspace had not been her original plan but she’d sensed it immediately.  Fire, true honest fire that came from wings and between fanged teeth.  They were hidden well which was infuriating.  She deserved to know where her own kind was.  So she settled for the next best.  One who had met them.  Unfortunately, he just happened to be a ruler with a lot of people trying to stop her from getting in.  Devani had to steel herself before storming into the throne room.  She hated her mix of absolute glee and fear as she had no idea what this ruler was like, only that he had met her kind and lived.  That had to be points in his favor unless he hadn’t walked away willingly.  Eyes gold and her entire being glowing with internal heat, Devani strode up to the stranger who really seemed to just be a kid and promptly stated “You have met dragons.”
