🚶 A walk around parts of Norwich can feel like a journey back into the past, such as along the historic cobbled lane of Elm Hill, with evidence for its origins dating back to 1200! ~ 🏘️ While many of the buildings were destroyed in a disastrous fire in1507, most are hundreds of years old. 🌲 Have you tried forest bathing before? This is a popular Japanese practice of relaxation known as shinrin yoku. It involves being quiet and calm among trees. Research shows that by observing the nature all around you and breathing deeply, you can help to reduce your stress levels and boost your mental and physical health and wellbeing! ~ 💚 Taking time to slow down, while being immersed in nature, can be the perfect antidote to the fast-paced, screen filled and stressful life that increasing numbers of people are facing. With anxiety, depression and feelings of being burnt out all increasing, reconnecting with nature is more necessary than ever. ~ 🙏🏼 It was great to take a walk in this wonderful local woodland recently with @thetanshow. It was a beautiful warm sunny day, and perfect for some forest bathing and taking photos. Going out with the intention of taking photographs helps me to try to slow down and notice the little details rather than just worrying about the big picture. Springtime in the UK is a perfect time to get outside to appreciate the beauty of nature and take some photographs 😃 ~ 📷 I took all these photos with my brand new @panasonicuk @lumixuk S5 with a 20-60mm lens and I have to say I'm very pleased with the results!
