I'm here to formally address our Lost and Found Policy at it seems a few of you are confused about how it works. So, I've gotten our head special of Lost and Found, Holly to explain.
Well, letâs put it this way, finders keepers, emotional attachments optional.
This Mawket? We put real work into it. Thread, power, sin, the occasional screaming vegetable. Itâs more than a store, itâs home. And home doesnât always mean people, it means stuff, too.
So if your little âprecious valuablesâ wandered into my hands, Iâd argue theyâre safer here. With me.
I donât judge. I keep. Thatâs the deal.
But in the spirit of retail, I am willing to give them back at a discounted price based upon rarity and value of course.
Common Items, (Honestly lowest of the low.)
Bubblegum Candy Wrapper - Don't honestly know why I kept this. It just...called to me. Seeing a sad little wrapper on the floor makes me sad, but ot sad enough to not sell it as something valuble. Just think of the new adventures this little thing can give you!
A Pamphlet on Home Surveilance Items - I mean seriously who needs extra of this stuff? It's not like there isn't a little eyeball seeing you everywhere you go in this town of ours.

Wedding Ring - Honestly wanted to keep this not because it's shiny and pretty but because Jolly of all people wanted to keep it for herself. Said it would be for her future soulmate and that the owner of the ring must be her true love. For the sanity of my twin, we are getting rid of this, for all I know this wedding ring could belong to an old guy. Yuck.
Someone's Glasses - Me and the little boss have been getting our kicks outta these. It's always fun to see the world in a blur for a bit, I mean imagine having messed up vision and needing these to actually see, ha! ....Though I suppose whoever does own these probably shouldn't be out on the road.
Rare Items, (Ones that the boss says I can't keep.)
The toupee of the Mayor - Honestly, fuming, flabberghasted, outraged even that Da- Boss, is making me sell this back. I mean do you know how valuable this is? The man won't stop talking about how 'great' and 'real' his hair is! But Boss says if I don't give it back that someone's bound to notice that the mayor's hair is missing.
Car Keys - Spent the whole morning in the parking lot trying to see where these leads for even bigger treasures but alas, could never find it. Still the prospect that I might be able to meet the owner and return their keys for an even bigger reward is still on the table.

As a recent BBC story reported, 83 percent of cellphones lost in Tokyo, for example, are eventually retrieved. The process usually begins at the local koban âpolice boxesâ that form the basis of Japanâs community-based approach to law enforcement. Kobanâsome 6,300 spread across the countryâare small, strategically located police stations that serve as most residentsâ primary point of contact with the police. In Tokyo, after officers fill in a report at the koban on the lost item and the finderâs identityâmore on that laterâthe items are held at the police box for one month before being sent to the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Departmentâs newly renovated Lost-and-Found Center. The Center, located in the capitalâs Bunkyo Ward, is a six-story facility that hosts some 900,000 lost items, including a 7,100-square-foot room dedicated solely to umbrellas. (In 2018, 343,725 umbrellasânearly 8 percent of all lost itemsâwere handed over. On a rainy day, police might accept 3,000 of them.) Once at the Center, each item is carefully logged and checked for personally identifying information that might assist in contacting the rightful owner. The Center also operates a searchable Japanese-language lost-and-found website cataloguing lost items. If, after three months, the rightful owner cannot be found, ownership of most items may revert to the person who found it, or to the municipal government. For some unclaimed items, such as clothing, musical instruments, and stationery, local governments may sell the goods to wholesalers, who hold pop-up matsuri sales throughout the month.
