La semana pasada vi un mapache en mi patio. Pensé que era extraño porque usualmente duermen todo el día. Pensé que podría tener rabia. Pero, también pensé que podría tener una herida. Yo decidí esperar y ver si podría mejoraría. Le dimos comida y agua. Se quedo en mi patio por tres días. Nunca mejoró. Finalmente, llamé al departamento de recursos naturales (DNR) porque necesitaba ayuda. DNR me dejo lo no paracía tener rabia. Pero, no sabían qué estaba mal. ¡Pobrecito! Espero que esté bien.
Last week I saw a raccoon in my yard. I thought that was strange because they usually sleep all day. I thought it might have rabies. But, I also thought it might have an injury. I decided to wait and see if it might get better. We gave it food and water. It stayed in my yard for three days. It never got better. Finally, I called the department of natural resources (DNR) because it needed help. DNR told me that it doesn´t seem like it has rabies. But, they don´t know what is wrong. Poor little guy! I hope that he´s okay.
