where and when: black cat cafe, august 12th
"I need you to listen very carefully to what I'm about to ask you," X says slowly, trying to entice the blonde's focus back to him. It had been his choice on where to meet and he thought the cafe was a safe bet to risk not running into Van while they did, but he miscalculated how distracted Lori would get by the actual cat roaming around and he couldn't risk her only taking onboard half of what he was saying while she pspspspsp'd.
"Can you do that for me?"

where: oasis
While Atlas considered himself as equally low maintenance as he was low effort -- he was far more inclined to block a hook-up than he was to be anyone's bubble tea bitch -- he was gradually discovering that he didn't mind making some effort where Lorelai Lewis was concerned.
She couldn't have been further from his usual type if she tried, which was only partially because she had no criminal record that he knew of, and he's certain if they weren't as compatible as they were with her brain and their clothes off she wouldn't have given him the time of day.
He's never been around someone as smart as her before arriving in Aurora Bay and she was so tightly wound at times he's figures she's never been around someone as easygoing as him.
Atlas' presence in a club was almost always with strict purpose. If he was going to be somewhere with a mark up that high on drinks, the only way it was worthwhile would be if he was leaving there with someone in tow, but he's paying no mind to any of the clubgoers as he beelines to the bar, catching the eye of the blonde bartender as he produces his gift for her from behind his back and placed it on the bar top in front of her.
"Bubble-tea for you, doc. It was overpriced and looks like it tastes like shit, so it's probably good."
Not that he would ever let something like that pass his lips, his palate was far too unrefined.
"When do you get off?" He pauses for a beat, then asks what he really wants to ask. "And when do I get to get you off?"

where: their dad's
"This is so fucking embarrassing." Lucky remarks, holding up a gaudy Hawaiin shirt that had been resting over the back of the living room couch. It was too big to be Lori's which meant it had to be their dad's, and it was a bold display of his latest mid-life crisis.
In a way, Lucky knew he should be glad of it, because it was why he was out riding the waves on his board rather than being present in the house when Lucky was. He had gotten better about avoiding interactions that he didn't want to have, but it was still difficult to be around his father.
Doubly so when he had to look a man in his late forties in the eye and pretend the puka shell necklace around his neck wasn't ridiculous.
He places the shirt back down where he got it, looking to his twin who had yet to fly the nest.
( Probably for the best now he found himself there because where he had landed had ended up on fire. )
"Is any of my stuff even still here or did he toss it with mom's?"
He had been in London when their father had a bonfire out their back garden that coincided with their mother's confirmation that her suitor at the time was something sincere, but he had received a series of unhinged WhatsApp videos and voice notes detailing every aspect of it from the fire starter.
