Haunted // Lori & Kade
Kade wasn’t having a good day at all, it was usually like this, on the same day for seventeen years, he was like this, moody, short tempered, even more on edge than usual, he always kept to himself on this day, always. He didn’t care if he had a schedule to follow, he had just gotten his assigned job as a strategist that morning but he didn’t have to start until the next day at least, he just refused to leave his room, the last thing he needed was for someone to set him off and then spending the night in Thirteen’s prison, especially in his state of mind. Truth be told, Kade couldn’t trust himself around people right now, he wasn’t in the right mind set, he was distracted, filled with guilt, too caught up in the past, he couldn’t help it, it wasn’t something he could just forget about or let go of so easily even though it did happen seventeen years ago.
Kade was sitting on the edge of his bed, leaning his elbows on his knees, his head in his hands for a moment as he worked out his thoughts, he didn’t know what the time was but he knew it had to be sometime in the evening. Kade knew that after all this time, it shouldn’t be like this but the truth was, he’d been alone for so long, he didn’t really have anyone to help him through days like this. Usually he was good at hiding this side of him, he didn’t like to show weakness to people, he found it just gave them something to use against him. Kade raised his head when he heard a light knock on his door, momentarily snapping him out of his thoughts.
