@lorefated asked: " Someone broke the ladder in the library and now I can't get the second book of this series!"
She only earns further amusement from him with that. Though sympathy is definitely in order considering the very real struggle, Elfman seldom had this issue; always being taller than his peers, easily towering over everyone discounting Master Makarov under Titan enhancement. By contrast, Levy was always on the shorter side; barely scraping the one-and-a-half meter mark.
He couldn't help himself; containing an escaped laugh followed by a snort. "O-Okay, a Man will help ya..." His hand reached, barely with any effort, to bring her the book she wanted. Whoever put that up there (probably her) never accounted for such a mishap. He'd make mental note (definitely to be forgotten later) that they need a new ladder, or that he'd have to help a bit more around the library. She could have easily asked for Lucy's help too, or anyone else more books-y.
"...Pipsqueak." Elfman could allow himself the leeway to tease upon the very real problem. Was he even a little salty that she somehow got picked to become an S-Class wizard more times than he was? Perhaps. Maybe this was his silent justice.
