I'm three days late for the ask thingie, but i want to know about Darcys room
Technically, Darcy has three rooms.
LAThis is Darcy's bedroom at her family home, in LA. It hasn't changed drastically since the Styles' first moved to LA - especially seeing as after completing Sixth Form in London with the Zafar kids while her parents travelled for work, Darcy moved from London to NYU accommodation.Her bedroom in LA overlooks the beach and so is all baby blue and distressed gold accents, like the large mirror above her dressing table.There are lots of frames of pictures; from her competitive cheerleading days, her first audition, a small collection of designer post-cards Harry had commissioned by her favourite artist to commemorate her work as an actress so far, when she was nominated for an award.She has a large shelf filled with her favourite DVDs and some old scripts that hold sentimental value. It's a large room; she has a large plasma-screen on the side of her bed, her mirror and dresser opposite her bed, where the most light is. The shelves on either side of her dressing table alcove, just before where the windows start, are columns of pictures of those closest to her; these include pictures of Ed and Darcy drunk at a party on New Year's, Darcy and Max holding Lucy for the first time, Ari and Darcy shrieking at something to the side of the camera from Darcy's sixteenth birthday part, which was fancy-dress. There's an old picture of Harry holding her in the delivery room, his eyes welled up with happy tears as he grins.On the opposite wall to her TV (which juts out between windows at the side) is her wardrobe, built-in and which runs almost the entire length of the wall. There's a small wooden stool by the sliding doors, so she can watch TV and put on her shoes. Her bags and accessories go in a small closet by her picture columns, at the side; a little thing that lights up when you walk in and keeps memorabilia from her sets and any awards.
NYU - College AccommodationDarcy is rarely here, so it's a lot less lived in. It's black, red and white; white walls, black furniture and red splattered everywhere in the form of curtains, a rug, her bedspread and other main features.She has a large canvas of a pouting Angelina Jolie on the wall, as well as pictures of Harry and Rose on the red carpet on her window-sill. She has a stack of old magazines on her bedside table and some old papers with reviews of her work. There are empty Starbucks cups littered everywhere and her wardrobe only carries three pairs of jeans and a selection of tops, as well as an array of sneakers - which isn't much for Darcy.
NYU - Zafar Family HomeAlthough Darcy technically uses the guest room, it has become more her own space than anything else. This is the most lived in - Darcy spends most weekends there and is often late at the Zafar home with Ari during the week. After passing her first year well, Ari and the rest of her family redecorated the guest bedroom for Darcy's sake.It's light pink, with white French furniture. She has a four poster bed, but the curtains are pulled aside, fairy lights hanging down instead. Over her traditional French vanity is a large mirror with light-bulbs surrounding it, similar to that of a dressing room and currently covered in Darcy's makeup and perfumes.There is a desk in the corner by the wall, where she keeps her books and laptop, as well as stacks of scripts she's always running through with Kabir. There is a small trunk at the end of her bed that opens out to show compartments especially for her shoes. Her cupboard and chest of drawers is on the other side of the room and her chair by the door always houses her laundry.Darcy only has two framed pictures in this room, one on either side of her bed on the wall; one of her parents at their wedding, with Soph and Aman at their sides, the other from Soph and Aman's registration party with the four of them.The rest of her pictures are Polaroids, either tucked between bulbs on her mirror or stuck to the roof of her bed. The one she sees every night before going to bed is her favourite; her, her siblings and the Zafar siblings on their first day of their new high school in London. Darcy loves this picture because she feels it represents them all accurately. Dany's scruffy in a loose tie, an untucked shirt and his blazer rolled to his elbows; Ed is beside him perfectly groomed and in slicked back hair, both of them gasping at the camera as they sit on someone's car, whose Darcy forgets. Max is sitting on the floor, his back leant against the car and one elbow raised, smiling slightly and posing, as Tara smiles similarly beside him, her head resting on Kabir's shoulder. Kabir and Lucy are making silly faces on either side of them, clearly pre-planned. But Darcy and Ari dominate the picture; Darcy is lying across Dany and Ed's laps, in a dangerously short skirt, a low-buttoned shirt and loose tie, her hair pulled into a messy bun. She and Ari, who is holding Dany's shoulders and staring down at Darcy in hysterics wearing a white shirt with a black waistcoat and her tie wrapped around her wrist, are holding hands tightly as they laugh hysterically.

They're not... But only because I'm re-reading the MOD series for the first time since - well, ever.
