The LORAC PRO 3 Palette review and swatches. Retailing at $44.00, the palette comes with two rows of LORAC PRO formula eyeshadows. The top row consists of all matte shades, bottom row all shimmers. The palette includes a sample of LORAC Behind the Scenes Eye Primer (0.19 oz). The entire first row of matte eyeshadows from left to right are named Blanc, Canvas, Cool Taupe, Pink Nude, Clay, Terracotta, Dk. Brown, Jet Black. The entire second row of shimmer eyeshadows from left to right are named Lt. Gold, Almond Pearl, Medallion, Lt. Pewter, Amethyst, Rose Bronze, Dk. Mocha, Truffle.
Overall, in love with this palette. I own the other two LORAC PRO palettes as well. They all impress with their creamy, easy to apply texture of the PRO formula. In all of my swatches above I used the Behind The Scenes primer sample included with the palette. You can easily use the shimmer shadows without a primer, but my personal opinion is without a primer, the matte shades don’t last quite as long as the shimmers. The shades are all brilliantly pigmented neutral earth toned colors that make a day to night look so easy to achieve. With these eyeshadows you don’t have to worry about creasing or the struggle of blending. They last all day with the help of the primer, and can be applied wet for an even stronger or more metallic look.
I see only two small downfalls to this palette. The very first two matte shades in the palette (Blanc and Canvas) seem to be chalky. I have come to expect this chalky texture in any light cream color shadow but I was hoping for more from the LORAC PRO formula. I recommend using a very light hand when highlighting with these shadows and knocking off excess shadow before applying to the lid. My second and final small downfall is the powdery texture of all of the shadows. Again, make sure to knock off excess from your brush before applying to avoid fallout. Or try using the shadows wet to avoid this issue as well.
