 5. What’s the fic you’re most proud of?

Oh boy. Of all the stuff I’ve published on ao3, First time for everything (Malec, 63k, WIP) has to be the one I’m most proud of. And at the same time that fic is the bane of my existence as a writer, because it’s a fucking WIP that I’ve been blocked on for three years now (cue the ugly crying). On the one hand, I’m really fucking proud of that ‘verse because it’s by far and wide the longest thing I’ve ever written (listen, I’m a one shot gal, and my sweet spot is somewhere between 500 words and 2k. I don’t do well with plot, and the few times I’ve tried I’ve failed miserably) and I do love so many little scenes and quotes from that fic. Malec lived in my head for a good long while there. I’ve even got roughly 20k more of it written, lying around in some google docs waiting for me to polish them up, get them beta’ed and edit them, and then it’s still not finished. Oh the other hand, it still haunts me, that I didn’t manage to slay my dragon with that one (yet). Maybe one day.

Hockey-wise, I’ve barely published anything, even though I’ve slowly started writing more stuff, but I have a particular soft spot for this ficlet. I’m not proud of it per se, because I don’t think it’s that well-written, but I just love that image of them so much, so yeah, it’s one of my secret faves.

 16. Any guilty pleasure trope(s)?

LISTEN. Give me anything with a really nice power dynamic, I don’t care if it’s the softest dom/sub, hardcore BDSM, a fully fleshed out a/b/o verse, or just idiots scening without knowing what they’re doing -- in any case I’m a drooling mess in the corner 🤤. I love domesticity and curtain fic. Give me all the fake dating, oblivious idiots in love, boys snarking at each other (and lovingly calling each other asshole), only one bed forever and always, the more UST the better 😍. If you wanna mix the guilt into the pleasure, let’s get a little shady, that’d be any type of winner’s room/gang-bang scenario, I’ll take the sex pollen and the fuck-or-dies, training the rookie, the heat helpers and bond crises, and as long as it’s consensual I’ll take the sibling incest (no parents, pls) and underage or age differences, too, please. I’ll take them all and ask for more. 👀😁 

Also, if you write me imperfect sex I will love you forever.

3. Do you read WIP (works in progress)? Why or why not?

I know I shouldn't read WIPs because patience is not my strongest suit and waiting for that next chapter is always torture. And I get way too emotionally invested in stories I love, so when a WIP I follow gets abandoned, I'm genuinely heartbroken. (This sounds like an exaggeration but it's not. Emotionally measured reactions? Me? Ha!)

So, yeah, I should absolutely stay away from WIPs. But alas, like I said, I have an impatience problem, and knowing a fic I want to read is out there and not reading it is... not something I often manage. /o\

What I occasionally do, though, is read chapters in batches. Especially when the end of a WIP is in sight, I restrain myself and read the last bunch of chapters in one go (because the gap between the penultimate chapter and the last one is the worst!).

6. Do you listen to podfic (fanfic recorded like an audiobook)?

No. I wish I could because I think they're awesome, but it turns out audio-only storytelling fucks with my attention span. :( I can't listen to audiobooks or podcasts either. (Wtf, brain? Why are you like this?!)

11. How do you organize your fic bookmarks?

Basically, I bookmark every fic I love, and then I rely on AO3's tagging system to keep them organized.

Because that works really well for me, I barely use any custom tags for bookmarks. Though I do have one for my absolute favorites (there are only just about 30 stories in the tag, out of 1300 fics I bookmarked in the past decade, so it's really just the ones I re-read over and over and over again).
