The Place Where I Love You
<1k zhuiling wedding night feels. Some NSFW references under the cut!
Sizhui traced the gentle curve of Jin Ling's naked back, trailing softly down down down to where the sheet covered his waist. His husband - his husband !- rolled to face him, squinting sleepily.
"A-Yuan?" His eyes were quarter moons, curving gently over his red cheeks. Jin Ling had never been entirely comfortable with being looked at, not even by Sizhui. "What's wrong?"
"Nothing," Sizhui said tenderly, his heart swelling to bursting in his chest. He leaned over the scant inches between them and kissed him. "Just admiring my beautiful Rulan."
Jin Ling grimaced half heartedly at the use of his hated courtesy name. Hated when anyone but Sizhui used it anyway. He caught at Sizhui's hand, curling up under his arm and against his chest with a wavering sigh.
"Go to sleep," Jin Ling whispered, his lips brushing Sizhui's skin. His eyes were already closed. "It's hours until morning and I intend to have you again before we have to rise and deal with our family."
Sizhui's body warmed thoroughly at the thought, memories of the earlier evening filling him. Waiting in the jingshi, Hanguang-Jun and Wei-Qianbei blocking the way until Jin Ling went to his knees to beg, a red veil and three bows. A red draped room and Jin Ling's trembling hands on his skin.
His husband first laying him back on their bed and the feeling of Jin Ling inside of him. The rush, the ecstacy of finally crossing that last threshold, then the feeling twofold when Jin Ling shyly asked Sizhui to fuck him in turn.
We are equals, he had said, face still red and hair still wet with sweat as they lay in the aftermath of that final coupling. Jin Ling had cried but then so had Sizhui and the sight of his husband curled up on his chest with Sizhui's softening cock still inside of him had nearly made him start again. I won't have anyone think you're less than me. In any area of our lives.
Sizhui hadn't needed the reassurance but it was still sweet to have it. The idea that his Sect Leader husband would submit to him in bed was laughable in most social circles. Sizhui was an orphan, a foundling, and even if the great Hanguang-Jun had taken him in and the honorable Zewu-Jun favored him, he was still just an orphan.
His first few weeks at Koi Tower leading up to the wedding had been nothing but harsh whispers and thinly veiled insults. Sizhui had taken it in stride, already understanding what the trade off would be to live his life with the one he loved, but Jin Ling had been furious.
It was said that never before had such a storm fallen on the Jin Sect as when Jin Rulan razed it to the metaphorical ground to root out the dissenters. He had cleaned house completely and refused to apologize no matter how many old men he offended.
And then a whisper from the shadows. A name and a secret long buried had come to light. Lan Sizhui was really Wen Yuan and Sizhui had feared that all his dreams would come crashing down no matter what Jin Ling assured him in private.
Instead, Jin Ling had stood tall in front of the cultivation world and declared that he would marry Wen Yuan by whatever name he chose to use and if anyone had any issue with it, they were more than welcome to settle the matter by the sword.
Sizhui liked to think that that was when Jin Ling truly won not just Hanguang-Jun's approval but his blessing as well. His father had never been one to put his opinion out but he had stood beside Sizhui's fiance with Bichen at the ready - and with him Wei-Qianbei and even more shockingly Sect Leader Jiang - and all who saw him knew the truth.
Wen Yuan was beloved and protected. There would be no more blood spilt for long cold revenge.
"Where have you gone?" Jin Ling's fingers on his face were gentle, the petals of a flower brushing past. His husband's brow was furrowed and Sizhui had to lean across the bed and kiss it.
"Nowhere, my love." Sizhui's throat was tight even as he tucked himself under his husband's chin. He closed his eyes as a sense of right, of belonging, swept through him. "I am exactly where I want to be."
