Next time you grab a latte check it for a revolution. If your brew is from Burundi it may have come from the Long Miles Coffee Project, set up by Ben and Kristy Carlson. While working for a coffee trading company, they noticed local farmers getting low prices for their coffee cherries at the trading or ‘washing' stations because of a mixed harvest quality. They dreamed of a station providing agricultural education and premium prices for locals. So they started blogging. Within weeks they had funding to start building.
