We've just received this important message from the now reinstated President of Brynania:

  Over the past few days, I have enjoyed my time with my family and volunteer coaching the soccer teams of my children. The stresses of the past seemed gone- the war, the famine, the blockades. I learned in this time that this is the kind of feeling that should be possible for all Brynanians- Icasian, Brn, and Zaharian alike. 

  If peace building literature has taught us anything, it's that democracy isn't only about institutions or voting. It's about cultivating, listening, and respecting the voice of the people. Over the past few days, I've listened to the voices of the people and feel that it is my duty to best serve the people of Brynania by returning to the peace process. I am proud of Brynania and all of the actors in the peace process, who did not let terrorists derail the progress we've already made. 

  So effective immediately, I am accepting the offer of the Vice President to return to power temporarily. I will continue to serve as long as Brynania will have me. VP De Santi, herself a decorated military officer, will retain the Defense portfolio in the cabinet. 

  The atrocities in Camps 7 and 9 will be investigated thoroughly and those responsible will be held accountable for their actions. Before my resignation, I opened the camps entirely to the international community and I have been told that significant commitments of aid are being provided by the international community to improve the conditions for the populations in the camp. 

  I call specifically on OPHUG to immediately cease their less than constructive activities in Aiku. I appreciate their support for me, and now implore them to support me as well in doing what is necessary for peace. There can be no peace without law and order. 

  Finally, a promise. WHEN Brynania achieves a transitional government, with fair and equitable elections, I will not stand for election. I am ready to leave my past behind, and look forward to a time when all Brynanians of all ethnicities are able to do the same. I am confident that with the steps already taken, that time is not far off.

Right now, we admit that our country is in a figurative state of chaos. Current acting president De Santi is doing her best, God bless her soul, but thing just haven't been the same since Foldy's resignation. We have moved forward in so many ways, and now we're taking 100 steps back. We cannot carry on without President Foldy.

We understand what you must be going through, fellow Brynanians. All the same thoughts ran through our heads all night too while we were tossing and turning, unable to get some a smidgen of rest:

When things are this personal and this emotional, it's easy to accept what's being spoon-fed to us by the international community or mutinous rebel traitors. However, let's look at the facts, fellow Brynanians:

Preisdent Foldy has been dedicated to making Brynania a land free of conflict and war. He even bartered with the PFLZ, a former terrorist organization, to regain control of McGilldishu. Why would he approvethe alleged death camps when he wanted one nation for all of Brynania's ethnicities and cultures?

These camps have been operating longer than Foldy has been President, and whatever alleged atrocities had been going on there were probably there long before him. Foldy was completely unaware of the situation.

Furthermore, as soon as Foldy realized what had been taking place, he announced a RESIGNATION. He felt that he had failed his people and felt it was his duty to take responsibility as every man would.

As for the allegations made by the ZPF that this is merely just a publicity stunt, the president of the most important nation in Equatorial Cyberspace doesn't just resign for fun. He has done numerous things that have gone against his public image for the greater good of our country, so this being a "hero's act" as the ZPF liked to call it, is the most ridiculous claim you could make. This isn't some game where people resign and quit whenever they want to. Actual innocent lives are dependent upon every miniscule decision made. Start making rational claims, ZPF, although we can't expect much from delusional maniacs who establish nations left and right, now can we?

Concerning the so-dubbed Zahrarian nation, OPHUG General Sarah McDonald “find[s] the whole concept laughable. This outlandish idea is clearly a desperate attempt to keep afloat a failing political movement. The OPHUG militia does NOT recognize them as their own nation, and will not tolerate any talk of an independent country on their part—they are and always will be part of the great nation of Brynania.”

Furthermore, when asked about to comment about situation, Vice-President De Santi claimed that “The Government of Brynania does not recognise the unilateral declaration of independence made by the ZPF and views it as a deliberate attempt to sabotage the peace process.  For the past few months, the Government and PFLZ officials have been working in good faith to reach a peace agreement which will benefit all Brynanians.  In the meantime, the ZPF has chosen to enact violence at the peril of those whom they claim to represent, including attacks on innocent civilians.  At this time, the Government of Brynania urges all nations to NOT recognise the ZPF’s declaration and to lend instead their support to the ongoing peace process.”

On June 15th, the world watched in shock, anger, disappointment, and outrage as the Zaharian People's Front announced the establishment of the Nation of Zaharia in the Beta province of Brynanian soil. They have outlined that they are creating a free, democratic nation, that comes with its own elections and everything!

Look around fellow Brynanians, do the actions of the ZPF embody those of a group that will act in a fair or democratic way? For the past four months, they've put their own people in danger - starved and abused them - in order to get the attention of the international community and try to fight in the Big Boy League.

"For Zaharians; by Zaharians" were the exact words of the ZPF. You know what these words are reminiscent of, fellow Brynanians? They're eerily comparable with other delusional leaders of the past that have been behind ethnic cleansing or didn't want bloodlines to mix. Unlike Brynania, a country that welcomes everybody with open arms, so-dubbed nation of Zaharia says no to anybody unless your alliterative first and last name begin with Zs. They want a long pure bloodline of Zaharians and only Zaharians. They've proved this time and time again by their attacks on innocent Brn civilians, and some Icasian innocents have been caught in the crossfire as well. This is not a nation, friends, this is a colony, a colony built on fear and hatred and self-pity. 

This doesn't even address the fact that announcing a nation out of the blue is completely ridiculous. You can't go around assembling borders here and establishing parliaments there! Do you even recognize how absolutely absurd it is to create a nation in a country with stronger military capabilities than you (as evidenced in the Diku raids)? How long do you think your little nation is going to last, ZPF? Not long, we can assure you that.

In the end, fellow Brynanians, the ZPF is nothing but a child - a petulant child that wanted cookies for dinner but couldn't have them. So he folded his arms and pouted his lips, and when that didn't work, he through a tantrum, and when that didn't work decided to make his own cookies out of mud and grass.

You can't eat cookies made out of mud and grass, Commadante Martyn. You will fall ill and Father Foldy will just have to come around and clean up your mess like he always does.

An exclusive press release to Radio Unity has been sent from the Vice President's office:

  "The Armed Forces of Brynania, at dawn on June 13th, launched a successful assault on the ZPF in Beta Province.  Our brave soldiers inflicted heavy losses and continue to beseige the rebels. We commend all true Brynanians for resisting these extremist forces and and we hope that our great country may move forward to a true, lasting, peaceful resolution."

We also mourn the loss of life from the bombing that took place near the OPHUG buildings as well as the loss of one of the greatest leaders, Brain Hamra. You don't stand a chance ZPF, even if the PFLZ knew on which side to stand and that listening to our government was their only chance of survival. Be smart like your other Zaharians.
