I pull you out of bed and open the curtains wide. You complain, but get up to see anyway. The world is clouded outside. I grab a cup of coffee, chai for you, and we head out. We go for a drive, next to the hills and the trees. The rain pours outside, and we sit in our bubble of solitude. You pull over, the music playing, and we sit at the edge of the cliff. It rains down on the whole city, but we are warm. You make a joke about my hair, still in a bun because I couldnt bother to brush it. I laugh about your clothes, you're still in pyjamas and a tee. The drinks are still hot and the company known, and we sit there talking. The world seems to fade away, all our problems left behind. Because right here in this moment, its just the view, the rain, and you and me.
